There's a reason this has gone down in price. After the charger that came with my laptop suffered wire damage I bought this. It over heats and now I have to tape it a certain way onto my laptop just for it to continue charging, and now it will sometimes say "Plugged in, not charging" and that is the first time this laptop has done that in the two years I've had it.

Look, I get that it's a cheap third-party replacement for the brand-named (and far more expensive) HP version, but it should at least work for a few days. This arrived, was plugged in a single time, and the lead that plugs into the computer literally FELL OUT. I don't mean fell out of the computer, I mean it fell out of the cord leading from the AC adapter. Basically it arrived DOA, and even though it was cheap I'm still sending it back for a refund because it's the principal of the thing. I'm wondering how much shoddy product one company can foist on an unsuspecting public before Amazon refuses to list them anymore? Bottom line, do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere... even if you have to spend a little more.

I can't even explain to you how pissed off I am with this seller. The item arrived very quick but within five minutes of plugging the adapter to my laptop, the damn thing died. The cord initially worked fine when I got it to replace my original HP cord, but after about 3 months it stopped making connection with the laptop when plugged in. I can still get some charge if I press firmly and hold the end of the cord into the computer, but I'll be buying a new HP-issued cord shortly. In my opinion, dishing out the money for a product you know will work is the better idea, but this one might be worth a try for such a low cost - just don't count on it working long-term.

I was devastated when my charger broke and luckily I remembered that my friend had recommended replacement chargers from amazon.com! It works wonderfully and it is cheap in price! An original charger would have cost be in the neighborhood of $100, and a universal charger from Best Buy would have cost me $90+. This one was 1/10 of the cost...under $10!!! buy, buy, buy!!!

It works thats all i expected from it. It metal contact gets really really hot when its charging a laptop which is in use. and i mean hot enough to not even touch which scares me that it might melt or start a fire. it seems to b fine when i charge it with the laptop switched off. so unfortunately for the price thats how i use it. charge the laptop n then use it. which isnt a big deal coz i prefer not having the charger connected while using it. b ut i guess if you can afford it go for an original replacement this is most definitely not original but just about works.

I bought one and had to return it 2 weeks later because the battery wouldn't recharge anymore. It was intended to replace the other notebook battery which stopped working after just 6 months. I also purchased a monitor from HP which stopped working after 3 months. I bought hardware from several other companies before, but HP is the worst. HP should really get their act together and make better quality products. Just selling fancy looking stuff isn't good enough if it stops working after a couple of months. I will not buy HP in the future anymore.

My hp tx1xxx now has close to four hours of battery life primarily with sql and visual studio development functions. (Typically the old battery gave me less than two hours of life.) The battery raises the rear of the laptop about a half inch or less -- good for air flow, but might take some getting used to.

I take my laptop literally everywhere I can. I like to have an additional battery that will last a while. The laptop is already hefty so this battery didn't add too much more weight. It boosted the rear upward so it helps with viewing the screen when I'm in laptop mode. It helps me to get a better grip on the body when in tablet mode, although I would not try to carry the laptop by the battery as one person said he tried to do. All in all, I'm glad I made this purchase.

This doesn't fit the 2133 netbook at all, it is too big and I could tell just by looking at it when I opened the package. On top of that this thing is so light, not that that's bad, but I can tell that there is NO WAY that this is worth $30, no way, this is like a 10 cent item. What a massive overcharge and what a stupid seller to make such a stupid oversight. Now I know to ask the seller to make sure the item actually fits before selling it to me, ugh.
