I bought this battery several weeks ago and it seems to be an excellent buy. The HP website sells this for almost 3x as much and it is a different style then this one. Under typical classroom use I can get 3 hours out of it in my tx2z. Also note the difference in capacity between this and the OEM 8 cell battery (63 versus 73 mAh). So far my laptop hasn't exploded or done any of the other terrible things people say non OEM batteries do. Even if this battery lasts half the time of HP's battery it is well worth it.

The Tx2500z HP battery costs upward of $150 add $20 shipping. This was about a third of the factory price, but for a 8 cell battery it does not really give sufficient backup. Probably the series of latop drains way too much power.

I get about 2.5-3 hours backup on low performance setting. Not bad at all coz the factory battery which died just after 1yr warranty never gave me more than 1hour backup.

I read some reviews where people complain about the battery life. Well I followed the instruction and I have no problem with this product. My battery life last much longer then the 6 cell I had. I love it and it's working without a problem. Follow the instruction and you should be good.

I got this battery today and so far it's holding a charge well. Sadly that's the end of the good news. The battery I received from power direct was not the one pictured, instead it's the thicker style which raised the laptop off the table. I can deal with that, but the other issue is that the right battery latch on my HP TX2 won't lock in place when I use this battery. There appears to be something preventing it from locking but my original HP battery doesn't have this issue. This sucks because since this is a tablet I depend on the battery as a handle at times and you can't trust it if both battery locks won't engage. Disappointed and wished I would have sprung for the original HP battery instead.
