Thought I was getting an excellent price for a replacement battery for my HP TX2500 Tablet PC. Turns out I was getting a paper weight. When plugged into the computer the battery would not charge past 78% after 24 hours. Unfortunately, the battery would not power the computer when AC power was removed. Guess I will pay for the brand name as I waited two weeks for this to arrive and now have to go through the hassle of returning it (Amazon is refunding the shipping).

This item arrived with inadequate packaging protection. The combination of a cheap plastic case and poor packaging resulted in the predictable. The packaged arrived with the power supply in pieces. I had even paid extra for 1 day shipping because I needed the item while I was traveling on the road. No offer to replace the item, just refund minus the shipping cost, so I paid shipping for NOTHING. Next time I pay the extra money and get the genuine product to avoid the hassles of trying to save a few bucks.

I find this product way better than the original HP battery pack. One full charge lasts almost 2 hours on my laptop unlike the original HP which lasts only 30~40 mins (sucks). Moreso, it costs 1/2 less than the HP pack which is also made in China. Definitely a good buy and will recommend to others!

I bought this battery several weeks ago and it seems to be an excellent buy. The HP website sells this for almost 3x as much and it is a different style then this one. Under typical classroom use I can get 3 hours out of it in my tx2z. Also note the difference in capacity between this and the OEM 8 cell battery (63 versus 73 mAh). So far my laptop hasn't exploded or done any of the other terrible things people say non OEM batteries do. Even if this battery lasts half the time of HP's battery it is well worth it.

After reading enough reviews NOT to buy this I took the chance anyway. It was dead on arrival. I have to agree with another reviewer that stated the plug that goes into the laptop is loose and feels cheap. Even the cord feels cheap; hard plastic compared to the softer rubber feel you get from the OEM chargers/cords.

I have now had it for about a month. It charges my tx2000 hp tablet appropriately. No problems so far.

Only slightly overheats the battery when left charging beyond fully charged. Not a big deal.

I purchased this item primarily because of its price, so I can't complain about the drawbacks. It charges quickly, but while charging, it creates an interference on television sets, as well as interfering with a wireless mouse. I have tested it to see if it does cause the interference, and when I unplug it, everything returns to proper working order. However, I did buy it because I desperately needed a charger and it beat paying over $70 for most others. It gets the job done so I do recommend purchasing it for the price because it does do what it is supposed to do.

I bought one and had to return it 2 weeks later because the battery wouldn't recharge anymore. It was intended to replace the other notebook battery which stopped working after just 6 months. I also purchased a monitor from HP which stopped working after 3 months. I bought hardware from several other companies before, but HP is the worst. HP should really get their act together and make better quality products. Just selling fancy looking stuff isn't good enough if it stops working after a couple of months. I will not buy HP in the future anymore.

My hp tx1xxx now has close to four hours of battery life primarily with sql and visual studio development functions. (Typically the old battery gave me less than two hours of life.) The battery raises the rear of the laptop about a half inch or less -- good for air flow, but might take some getting used to.

I take my laptop literally everywhere I can. I like to have an additional battery that will last a while. The laptop is already hefty so this battery didn't add too much more weight. It boosted the rear upward so it helps with viewing the screen when I'm in laptop mode. It helps me to get a better grip on the body when in tablet mode, although I would not try to carry the laptop by the battery as one person said he tried to do. All in all, I'm glad I made this purchase.
