I have a TX2 and with the stock battery I used to have less than 2 hours battery life. With this one, it is about 4 hours depending if using WiFi or the level of display bright.

I bought one and had to return it 2 weeks later because the battery wouldn't recharge anymore. It was intended to replace the other notebook battery which stopped working after just 6 months. I also purchased a monitor from HP which stopped working after 3 months. I bought hardware from several other companies before, but HP is the worst. HP should really get their act together and make better quality products. Just selling fancy looking stuff isn't good enough if it stops working after a couple of months. I will not buy HP in the future anymore.

My hp tx1xxx now has close to four hours of battery life primarily with sql and visual studio development functions. (Typically the old battery gave me less than two hours of life.) The battery raises the rear of the laptop about a half inch or less -- good for air flow, but might take some getting used to.

the battery that came with the notebook lasted about an hour and change, depending on what applications you run. with this extended battery, it doubles the time being mobile. no-brainer. get the battery.

I take my laptop literally everywhere I can. I like to have an additional battery that will last a while. The laptop is already hefty so this battery didn't add too much more weight. It boosted the rear upward so it helps with viewing the screen when I'm in laptop mode. It helps me to get a better grip on the body when in tablet mode, although I would not try to carry the laptop by the battery as one person said he tried to do. All in all, I'm glad I made this purchase.
